The City of Nevis is looking for a part-time Deputy Clerk.
Hours will vary from 8-16 hours per week or as needed.
The primary objective of this position is to perform the duties required by city and state law, including: Provide information and assistance to citizens, coordinate information between city departments, maintains official city documents and records, assists in the conduction of elections, and assist with all areas of human resources as assigned. Responsible for the cities utility billing.
Job Requirements: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably two years of related office experience. Strong background in communications, documentation skills, record keeping, and computer experience with spreadsheets, word-processing, and data entry/analysis. Must meet bonding requirements and pass background investigations with State and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Willing to submit to drug testing.
